Enviiro originated from the Black Water Project, an initiative established in 2024 to address the growing threats facing Indonesia’s peat swamp ecosystems and biodiversity.
The project began with a focus on protecting endemic species and their natural habitats through scientific research and conservation planning. As environmental pressures such as land conversion, habitat degradation, and fragmentation continued to increase, the initiative evolved into a broader conservation organization committed to generating knowledge and translating science into conservation action.
Today, Enviiro works to support biodiversity conservation through research, monitoring, conservation planning, and collaboration with communities, researchers, government agencies, and conservation partners.
